Gov Strickland is proposing major budget cuts for Ohio libraries. If these cuts are made, McKinley Memorial Library relies on state funding. If these cuts are made, McKinley Memorial Library would lose 50% of its funding beginning July 1st. McKinley Memorial Library has always been a vital part of our community, but especially now, at a time when because of the economic situation, the Library is used and needed more than ever.. Message	McKinley Memorial Library has always been a vital part of our community, but especially now, at a time when, because of the economic situation, the Library is used and needed more than ever. McKinley Memorial Library provides access to the Internet for job search information, computers on which to file job applications, and they offer classes to help in retraining misplaced workers. Early Literacy programs offer skills that will help develop a life-long love of reading, and inspire learning and education. Events and programs offer great options for families looking for free entertainment. Books, magazines, music, and movies all share limitless information and enjoyment. There are many more services that would be lost by this cut in funding. McKinley Memorial Library is very important to me and to my community. I'm counting on you to keep funding to Ohio's libraries as strong as possible during these difficult economic times. Please help preserve these library services. DO NOT cut the Public Library Fund. It is imperative that Ohio keeps its libraries strong. Thank you!
